Professor Stewart Marshall is the Founding and Managing Editor of the International Journal of Education and Development using Information and Communication Technology (IJEDICT) – http://ijedict.dec.uwi.edu/ - and Emeritus Professor at The University of the West Indies Open Campus.  He was previously the Director of Special Initiatives in the Office of the Principal of The University of the West Indies Open Campus and UNESCO Chair in Educational Technologies. He has held senior management positions in higher education in England, Papua New Guinea, Australia, Southern Africa and the Caribbean.

Stewart Marshall's research and consultancy interests are in the role of communication and information technologies in distance education, especially in developing countries.  He has over 100 publications, including book chapters, refereed articles and conference papers, an encyclopedia, and several books, the latest ones being in the series "Educational Design and Technology in the Knowledge Society": http://www.infoagepub.com/series/Educational-Design-and-Technology-in-the-Knowledge-Society
